Mensa For Kids - 83 Lessons, Activities and Guides

This is a wonderful collection of learning and educational materials for gifted children, as described below. All 83 Lessons, Activities and Guides and Videos are available for immediate access in this viewing and download folder.

30 Lessons:

This series of lessons (in pdf format) is designed to meet the needs of gifted children for extension beyond the standard curriculum with the greatest ease of use for the educator. The lessons may be given to the students for individual self-guided work, or they may be taught in a classroom or a home-school setting.

14 Activities:

This series of educational programs (pdf format) was designed to simultaneously entertain and challenge gifted youth in their time outside of the school setting; however, the activities may be easily shared and enjoyed by older people as well. Programs may be scaled up or down depending on number of attendees, desired level of complexity, etc.

15 Mensa for Kids’ TED Connections:

These are short, easy to use guides that help teachers, parents and youth use TED talks in a classroom or home setting. Rather than a lesson plan format, they have a list of discussion questions, all at higher levels of thinking. The videos for these guides are also linked here.

Poetry Lessons

Also included are 12 excellent lessons, in pdf format, on reading and analyzing poetry, and a guide for young writers on how to write great book reviews.
